Great questions. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, we are here to help. Many aspiring doulas wrestle with the same doubts:

How do I actually become a doula? Where do I get trained? Can I really support someone through birth with confidence and compassion? How do I build a business that feels aligned with my faith and my lifestyle? Will anyone really hire me?

Those questions are honest—and they’re exactly why this course was created.

That dream you carry? The one where you’re kneeling beside a laboring mother, offering strength, and witnessing new life enter the world—that’s real. This training will walk with you as you step into your calling as a doula with both reverence and readiness. You’ll not only become confident in your role as a doula—you’ll carry the heart posture to serve with peace, presence, and prayer. Meet your instructor, Angelia

After being in birth work for the past eight years attending over 250 births, I have felt the deep call to mentor aspiring birth workers. My experiences serving women, building a successful doula business, avoiding burnout, and booking 3-4 clients every month has equipped me to share this dream of serving women along their motherhood journey with others who have heard the call. I believe in the way our presence makes a difference for women. I believe in this work being a meaningful way to sustain birth workers financially and spiritually. And I believe in your ability to step into the role of a birth doula confidently.

Guest instructor, Kendra Johnson

I have always had a deep appreciation for the childbearing process, as there are few things more beautiful to me than a woman becoming a mother. After my own pregnancy and birth experience, I gained an even deeper love and understanding of what the transition into motherhood could look like when a woman is surrounded by unconditional love and support. I believe birth is less about making babies and more about making mothers. As a new mother myself, and current midwifery student, I have learned the importance of empowering women to believe in their own strength and to make the best decisions for themselves and their babies. Walking alongside other women and offering them the love and support they need during this very significant time in their lives is a great passion of mine!

Guest instructor, Sam Hypes

I have been a birth worker since 2019. I began my midwifery school journey in May 2022, graduated from midwifery school in January 2024, started attending births as a Traditional Birth Attendant in May 2024, and began working towards licensure in May 2025. I have spent countless hours sitting with women in the prenatal time. I have served as a doula, student midwife, apprentice and midwife assistant over the last 5 years. I am just me, a human being with some birth knowledge and skills.

Guest instructor, Hope Tellifero

Supporting mothers in their childbearing year is my life’s calling and my dream job. I began serving women as a Yoga Intructor in 2012, and felt drawn to support women in their most vulnerable and powerful time: Birth.

My work as a Doula officially began in 2017 when I attended my birth doula training with ProDoula. I have continued to deepen my knowledge of birth through experience and self study, and am currently training to be an independent community based midwife. As of January 2025I have supported more than 130 different mothers in their birthing times, and continue to learn from each of the families I support.

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here I am! Send me."

Isaiah 6:8
